The President and the Vice President will host the National Governors Association at the White House for a meeting. The President will participate in a bilateral meeting with His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. They will consult on a range of regional and global issues of mutual interest, including promoting security and prosperity in the Gulf and broader Middle East region, ensuring the stability of global energy supplies, supporting the people of Afghanistan, and strengthening commercial and investment cooperation between our countries.

Thursday, February 3, 2022 – The President and the Vice President will attend the National Prayer Breakfast.

The President will travel to New York, New York and join Mayor Eric Adams to discuss his Administration’s comprehensive strategy to combat gun crime, which includes historic levels of funding for cities and states to put more cops on the beat and invest in community violence prevention and intervention programs, as well as stepped up federal law enforcement efforts against illegal gun traffickers.

Friday, February 4, 2022 – The President will deliver remarks on the January jobs report.
